Activities Status Announcement

UPDATE: All AWYF activities are postponed through May 1, 2020.

On March 31, the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) extended its “no contact” period for spring sports until May 1, 2020. The Board of Trustees of the Anthony Wayne Youth Foundation has reviewed OHSAA’s statement and has decided to follow its guidance. As such, all AWYF activities are postponed through May 1, 2020 and the no contact period is extending to that time. The no contact period applies to all AWYF-related activities, including practices, whether formal or informal.

AWYF’s Board and the individual activities will continue to monitor guidance from the OHSAA and the varying organizations that govern youth sports. At this time, the AWYF Board and the individual activities are leaving open the possibility that the seasons for spring and summer activities can still go forward, at some point after May 1, with consolidated game schedules or extended seasons.
